At this time Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, has just begun erupting, sending massive lava fountains soaring hundreds feet into the air inside Halemaʻumaʻu Crater on the Big island in Hawaii. The eruption is producing intense heat, glowing rivers of molten rock, and billowing plumes of volcanic gas.
